Born and raised in a tiny, three-stop-light town in Virginia, Michael was involved in theatre throughout high school and college at Eastern Mennonite University. He graduated with degrees in English and Sociology in 2006 and promptly packed up his life and moved to New York City the following fall. It was a winding path that brought Michael to hosting; one that included internships at The Onion, a luxury travel agency, selling programs for The Color Purple, bartending at several watering holes around town, and stand-up comedy. He filmed a national television commercial for Bank of America in 2007 and began commercial auditioning after that. Since 2010, Michael has hosted a wide array of weekly events, one-off corporate events for both clients and employees as well as numerous private birthday parties for audiences around the world.
